Donald Trump is a Misogynist*

*mi·sog·y·nist:  noun, a person who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against women; synonym:woman-hater

“No one is more arrogant toward women, more aggressive or scornful, than the man who is anxious about his virility.”

― Simone de Beauvoir , The Second Sex

Is Donald Trump a Woman-Hater?

OF COURSE HE IS!

Maybe because his mother hated him?

It doesn’t matter why, but it should matter a great deal that he is a misogynist. It says much about our culture- and how far we have to go to create an equal society- that Donald Trump can be the president of the United States and treat and talk about women the way that he does. A lot of people ought to be ashamed of supporting him.  A lot of people are ashamed for you.

If you are a woman, married to one, or have a daughter or a mother, this should be deeply disturbing to you.  If this is not deeply disturbing to you, you will have to forgive me for saying that you are deeply disturbing to me.

Trump is “very scared for the young men of America” because it is terribly embarrassing for them to be accused of rape, apparently even if they are guilty.

At least 22 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct between the late 1970s and 2013. Trump has likewise denied the allegations made against him.

In Bob Woodward’s “Fear: Trump in the White House,” the author quotes Trump telling a friend about his strategy in cases involving sexual accusations:

“You’ve got to deny, deny, deny and push back on these women. If you admit to anything and any culpability, then you’re dead. That was a big mistake you made.”

–An allegedly real person who has achieved the remarkable feat of meeting the technical requirements to be chosen President of the United States without actually being qualified to be the President of the United States.  Ironically, “the Donald” has engaged in a criminal conspiracy without meeting the technical requirements for being charged for it. So he has received a reward that he does not deserve and escaped a punishment that he does.

“The Donald” Surely Must Be Proud of His Son

Asked who he is “scared most for” — his sons or his daughters — Trump Jr. said, “right now, I’d say my sons.”

“I’ve got boys, and I’ve got girls. And when I see what’s going on right now, it’s scary.”

We Already Know That He is Proud of His Daughter

In the almost 20 years since Mr. Trump has called his eldest daughter “voluptuous”. He’s said it’s OK to describe her as “a piece of ass”, though she is a senior executive in his business empire. And he’s said that, if she wasn’t his daughter, “perhaps [he’d] be dating her”.

President Mocks Kavanaugh Accuser at Political Rally

“What neighborhood was it in? I don’t know. Where’s the house? I don’t know. Upstairs, downstairs, where was it? I don’t know. But I had one beer. That’s the only thing I remember. And a man’s life is in tatters.”

Trump said in his imitation of Ford’s testimony.

Reactions to Trump’s Comments on Dr. Ford:

“It’s just not right. I wish he hadn’t … done it. I just say it’s kind of appalling.”

Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) on Trump’s comments on Dr. Ford at Mississippi rally

“The president’s comments were just plain wrong.”

Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) on Trump’s comments on Dr. Ford at Mississippi rally

“A vicious, vile and soulless attack on Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Is it any wonder that she was terrified to come forward, and that other sexual assault survivors are as well? She is a remarkable profile in courage. He is a profile in cowardice.” https://t.co/UJ0bGxV1EZ

” If I had [a] different type of wife, I probably wouldn’t have a baby, ya know, ’cause that’s not my thing. I’m really, like, a great father, but certain things you do and certain things you don’t. It’s just not for me.”

If you’re still supporting Trump, I will assume that this is what you would tell our daughters when they are sexually assaulted:

‘If it’s inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.”
